Working with the News module? #

Any user with the following user permissions can create a news story: admin, news-moderator, news-editor.

Users with admin or news-moderator permissions can view and publish any unpublished news stories.

Users with news-editor permission can view and publish their own unpublished news stories.

Set news story security #

Naviagate to Manage > News.
Locate the news story.
Tap the story’s title link to navigate to the news story.
From the cog menu, tap Security.
Set the news story security by tapping to select one radio button under Who is allowed to view this news story?
Public– anyone with read-access to the News module will be able to see the published story.
Private – Private users (i.e. those whose role gives them explicit permission to view private news stories – as defined in the Role definition) can see the published news story.
Only users with the following roles – Mark the checkbox next to the role (or roles) associated with users who should be allowed to view the published news story.
Tap the Update News story button to save.
